About Us

Whether your focus is hunters, jumpers, equitation, or eventing, Chicory Meadow Farm can help you achieve your goals.  Several highly qualified trainers are available daily for instruction.  Lessons for boarders are $40.00 for 1/2 hour private or hour group.  The nicest part of our small barn family is that you can be as competitive as you like or just ride for the fun of it.

Liz Fortes

Along with a breadth of experience and expertise Ian brings a unique attitude to his teaching and riding.  He is known for his quiet deliberate approach to the process of understanding and learning to ride and this same mannerism translates through to his riding.  His training program is based on valuing individual needs, and goal oriented training based on client's expectations.
Liz has a combined 34 years of riding, teaching and working with horses.  She continues to ride and instruct at Chicory Meadow Farm.  As an instructor she is patient, kind, detail-oriented and strives to make each lesson a good experience for all.

Upcoming Fall Clinic Schedule for 2005:
Our farm also has the pleasure of hosting on-going clinics most Wednesday evenings in either dressage or show jumping.  This special privilege gives our boarders and share-boarders the unique opportunity to ride with many prominent professionals in our region.  All levels of riders are welcomed and encouraged to take part in our clinics.
